''La Costa'' is a large masia (farmhouse) dating from around 1700AD. It is set in seven acres of land, which includes a swimming pool, garden, young olive grove and woodland terraces. It is situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees conveniently off the Carretera (national highway), between Besalu and Figueres, in the beautiful Northern Catalonia and close to the French border.
La Costa's accommodation comprises of:
Four double bedrooms over the middle and top floors
Two large bathrooms on the middle and top floors
Additional double sleeping on a day-bed in the sitting area on the recently remodelled upper floor
Children's beds on the mezzanine in one of the downstairs bedrooms
A Sofa bed in the living room
The Living room is very large with a vaulted ceiling and fireplace
The Kitchen/diner runs the full depth of the house with a breakfast-bar area, a cooking island (with most modern appliances including waste-disposal and American-style 'fridge-freezer)
The Dining area which leads on to a large sun terrace
The Undercroft / Cellar contains the water system, a utility room with washing machine, tumble driver and oil-fired heating furnace
Large vaulted Stable area used for storage and just vacant space.

Outside the Farmhouse:
A large Sun terrace overlooking the grounds, with outdoor dining furniture, gas barbecue and loungers
6 x 12metre Swimming pool, which was built in 2004, with a maximum depth of 1.5metres. It is uncovered from June to October and maintained under contract.

''La Costa'' is located in the northern part of Catalonia, between the towns of Figueres and Besalu off the Carretera (national highway) N-260, in the foothills of the Pyrenees, just south of the border with France.

It is within a 45-minute drive of the northern coastal resorts of the Costa Brava, the walking trails of the extinct volcanic park of La Garrotxa or the ski resorts of the Eastern Pyrenees, 40 minutes from the French border on the motorway, half an hour to the city & airport of Girona and just over an hour to Barcelona.
