Palau Saverdera is a characterful traditional Catalan village with its own wine cooperative, a small supermarket, butchers, bakers, newsagents and a good selection of restaurants all within a short walk from the villa. We recommend Nou Fusion restaurant located at the entrance to Can Isaac. A more comprehensive selection of shops including large supermarkets, produce markets and a huge choice of bars, restaurants and clubs are just 10 minutes drive away in Roses. The nearest beach is less than 10 minutes drive away at Santa Margarita. A wide choice of other beaches is within 20 minutes. Within a short drive is the spectacular scenery to the North of the Bay of Roses, where wooded cliff walks lead to isolated coves (including the one where the world famous EL Bulli restaurant is situated), or to any part of the long sandy beach which curves around the bay from Roses to L'Escala. Historical towns and villages like Cadaques and Figueres, both linked with artist Salvador Dali, are scattered around. Also nearby are the protected nature reserves of the Aiguamolls wetlands and the Medes Islands, which can be seen from the villa. It is a great place for walking, cycling, bird watching and horse riding. Watersports include kite surfing and scuba diving, and you can rent boats and jet skis with or without a license. Just 5 to 10 minutes from the villa you will find Aqua Brava water park, a go-kart track and the Empuriabrava sky diving centre. Perelada golf course is about 15 minutes by car, several others are within 1 hour. In winter it is possible to ski within 2 hours driving. Casa Colina is located about 30 minutes from the French border The villa is comfortably furnished with central heating throughout and air conditioned bedrooms.
