Inland from the Costa Durada in the Catalan province of Tarragona (Tarragonès), Montblanc is 24 road miles (38.4km) from Tarragona and 74 road miles (119km) west of Barcelona. It is just 21 road miles (33.7km) from Reus Airport.

Montblanc

Legend says that Saint George killed the dragon at Montblanc and they have an annual two-week festival in April filled with dragons, fire, and a celebration of Saint George. There are no facts supporting Montblanc as the site of Saint George and the dragon, Montblanc has a plaque marking the location! St George is the patron saint of Catalonia.
