Salou is 8 miles (12.5km) from Tarragona
and 63 miles (101km) west of Barcelona.
It is just 8 miles (13km) from Reus Airport. The palm-lined promenade, El Paseo Jaime I, runs parallel to the Levante beach, the longest and probably finest beach in the resort. This beach has excellent facilities: gym, showers, toilets, beach bars & cafes, volleyball courts and play areas for children. To the west of Levante beach lies the Blue Flag Ponent Beach with the same facilities. This beach is popular with families and is the longest beach, measuring ¾mile (1.2km) Salou is a perfect family holiday destination (although you may wish to avoid the town in early April when the student Saloufest festival disrupts civilised life).
