Sant
Antoni de Calogne is a charmless, unattractive resort, lacking any
personality, only redeemed
by
its sandy main beach, stretching for nearly 4km, and interesting Old
Town. The resort is is situated 2½km west of Palamós and
5½km north east of Platja d'Aro.

An excellent 20 minute
walk takes you to Palamos via Passeig del Mar whilst in the opposite
(south west) direction, promenade walk heads towards Platja d'Aro.
There are a number of excellent Golf Courses in the area - mainly
around nearby Pals and Santa
Christina d'Aro areas to the south west. |

Antoni de Calonge is well placed for flights, being 40 minute's
drive from Girona Airport and 75mins from Barcelona's El Prat

The
long promenade is ideal for walking, cycling and skating. On the
beach there are all services offering windsurfers and jetskis.
The old town of Calonge, 3km inland from the resort, could be
considered to be a better holiday base. The town itself is huddled
around around the medieval Dukes of Sessa castle, with a good
selection of Cafes, bars and restaurants. The restaurants have
either International menus or delicious local Calalan specialties.
Scattered around Calonge are several communities of mainly villas,
whilst the resort mainly comprises of apartments. |
